Test Message

Maybe it's just me, but this new version is very confusing and hard to navigate. Guess I'll get it figured out soon. :Huh?:

I agree with you completely.   I find this new format very difficult to work with.  The old format was very simple to work with and very easy to navigate through and follow.  This new format is very confusing.  It is not straight forward at all.  I wish we could return to the old format.  In this post I am referring to the whole new Dell Community format with the listing and the navigating of all the topics.

Anyone figured out how to stay signed in, and how to navigate to the other support forums. :Embarrassed:

This forum platform is set up by design to log you out after X minutes of time, though I'm not sure what X equals. Note: If you click Reply and write a post while logged out, chances are you'll have lost whatever you typed. So be sure you're logged in before clicking Reply

To navigate to other forums, click the three horizontal lines next to Browse Community at top of any forum page and a menu will open so you can navigate to other areas.

To edit a post (you can only edit your own posts), log in and click the 3 vertical dots on the right end of the line with your user name, in the specific post you want to edit, and select Edit from the dropdown list.

This new platform takes some getting used to...

There are 3 dots in the upper right corner of your post. When you click on those, you will see a dropdown choice with an Edit button.

I have not had a problem staying signed in, although I don't visit here too often. Dale, in order to navigate you can use the "breadcrumbs" at the top of the page. I like the new format. It's really snappy compared with the old one.

This forum has been set up to log users out automatically after a certain (but unrevealed) period of time.

Ron,

Dale did not acknowledge your advice regarding how to edit, so I thought I should repeat it. However, I did not realize it would deserve a Stickouttongue face from a Dell Forum regular.

If Dell had it set up that way, they must have done so for a reason. If you don't like it I guess you'll have to discuss that with them.

A lot of us don't like the automatic log-outs and we have  discussed it with the forum's administration.

They're not going to stop logging people out...
