Purchase on hold-not sure what to do?

I noticed that the laptop i really wanted to buy was on sale, but when i tried to purchase it my confirmation email did not contain an order number and none of the other methods used tocheck order status worked either. I'm guessing it might be some sort of payment problem but I'm not sure if I'd need to call dell or head to my bank. Also no idea if my order is just on hold since i can't check mt order status.

Same thing happened to me. I ordered the Dell 7000 Inspiron  and Dell said  Paypal declined the charge. I contacted paypal and they said there was no problem with my account.  I contacted Dell and they said they h ad to cancel my order. Of course the price of the computer shot up $100 in the meantime. Personally, I think this is a scam. Place an  order--Dell puts on hold then gives a bogus reason--so you are forced to cancel and recorder at a higher price. I am so disappointed! I did not reorder because I have been ripped off.

Same with me. Tried to order twice and everytime they tell me Paypal has declined the transaction. But it makes no sense because I did not get any email from paypal saying it was declined. The email from paypal says it is approved. The money is there and ready to pay, but Dell tells me to change my payment method for no reason. So now I have two transactions ''pending'' in my paypal account and no way to cancel them. I really hope this is not a scam.

I ordered a scratch and dent laptop.  Received the two e-mails they claim you will receive.  Checked status and there was a cryptic message saying my order was changed or cancelled, but it ended up being up to me to figure out what that meant.

Unless you have several hours to waste dealing with Dell "customer support" my advice is to cancel the order and buy somewhere else.
