Remove Member From Group That Hosts Default Pool
We have an EqualLogic group comprised of 6 members. There are 4 pools in the group. All of the disk arrays are running firmware version 8.1.11.
We have moved all data off 2 members and I would like to remove both members from the group without impacting volumes on the other 4 members because they have production data.
The default pool is located on one of the members I would like to remove. I understand the default pool cannot be deleted so my first question is "Can the member hosting the default pool be removed?".
A reply to a similar question on the board (but from several years ago) made it sound like the disk array could be deleted but the default pool would continue to exist. Can anyone verify this is the behavior I should expect with version 8.1.11 firmware?
Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.

Hello Sooner56,
Yes you can remove any and all members from the 'default' pool. It's an object and doesn't have to have a member in it in fact. It will always be there regardless.
