Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
My Ethernet card looses internet connectivity after some time.
Inactivate and activate solves the problem but only temporarily.
Wireless works alright.
Win 10 and a brand new Inspiron.
I have seen tips about restoring old drivers but as the computer is new, there are no old ones available on it.
Anyone out there who knows how to solve this?

I have now disabled "green Ethernet" and "energy efficient" settings in advanced settings on the card and it seems to have made the trick :)

First, I would try uninstalling Smart-Byte (if installed).
If still trouble, uninstall all Dell Pre-Installed Ethernet Enhanced Driver suites and let Window-10 re-detect the card and let it load it's driver. You should probably connect by WiFi before doing this.
Finally, it might just be a Ethernet cabling problem. You can use Cat-5e if run is short, but for longer runs CAT-6 or better is preferred (since it's trying to negotiate a fast Gigabit 1000-speed connection). Verify all cables all the way back to Router. Ethernet Patch-cords can look fine, but actually be bad/flaky.
When using a Gigabit ethernet wire, be sure you are disconnected from WiFi Access-Point.

Maybe it was going to-sleep to save-power and be "greener" ? :Smile:
I remember ... way back in 2010 when I got my Aurora-R1 ... ethernet performance seemed slow. I found a similar "Green" setting on my Broadcom gigabit ethernet causing it to connect at 10 speed instead of 100/1000.
