755 SFF, Virtual box does not show 64 bit OS

Hi

My Dell OPtiplex 755 SFF- 8GB RAM, Core2Quad processor, AMD 512MB Graphics card does not show the 64 bit versions of OS for Mac/Linux/Win in Virtualbox. I can only see 32 bit versions of these Operating Systems in Virtualbox.

Please let me know what settings have to be set/changed in the BIOS etc so that I can work with VirtualBox  and 64 bit Operating Systems. The BIOS Version is A22 which to my knowledge is the latest one available for the Optiplex 755.

Yours sincerely,

Arvind.

Hyper-V in Windows 8 and 10 will also not work.   This is not a Dell Power Edge server or Precision T3600 or later.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/reference/hyper-v-requirements

Virtual Box is not supported here.

Your CPU does not have Second Level Address Translation (SLAT) -- present in the current generation of 64-bit processors by Intel and AMD.

Second Level Address Translation (SLAT), also known as nested paging, is required for hardware-assisted virtualization technology.

Aka Core I3 I5 I7 and this is required now.

What he said ... but also wanted to mention ...

VirtualBox has a nice support forum.

I don't think macOS guest is supported on non-Apple hardware.
