DELL XPS 13 (2017) - BATTERY ISSUE

I bought an XPS 13 last year and was working all fine till now. I turned on my computer during class and the front led light starting flashing. One orange, one white, which means its not a "supported battery" or something like that. I went into the bios and saw that it stated that the battery was not "a dell battery." Which makes no sense as I haven't ever replaced or done anything to the battery. Now, because it says it not a dell battery, it won't allow charge. I rely on this computer for school and this issue is a huge problem for me.
These are the steps I've taken so far to alleviate the issue:

- Checked if the AC adapter was the issue - AC adapter is shown in BIOS as 45w, so not the issue.

- Updated BIOS to newest version, no fix.

- Removed the battery connector, pressed and held the power button for about 15s, connected the battery back in, still no fix.

- Removed the battery and powered just from AC adapter, worked fine - further evidence that the AC adapter is not the issue.

- Can't run diagnostics as it fails in the battery testing portion.

I have no idea what to do next. The battery works fine as it boots me into windows and such, but if I try to plug it in, it just states "plugged in, not charging." I only had that 1 year warranty on this computer and sadly it expired like a week ago. Great timing!

I would like to reiterate that this battery has not been touch and is the original battery that came with my computer when I purchased it last year. I have no idea what caused this issue as I did nothing different. Any help would be great!

Shane.

I realize you did this sequence but try this again. Unplug the battery, unplug the adapter, press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds. Plug everything back in and try again. The following support page might help.

As hard as it is to believe, it is possible the battery is bad.
