XPS 13 - problems with external mouse

Hi, I recently bought an XPS13. I can control the mouse absolutely fine using the touchpad but when I attach any type of external mouse (either bluetooth or USB) I get problems with controlling the mouse - particularly with small left/right movements when trying to select a small amount of text or placing the curser mid word etc. I've tried adjusting the settings to be faster/slower, turning on/off pointer precision but nothing seems to fix it. This is a major problem for me as I'm ending each day with an incredibly achy hand from fighting the mouse all day. Help!!! many thanks, Rose

Rosec2,

Thanks for that information your Model number is XPS 9370.

If you've already updated the BIOS and Chipset drivers, here is something else you can try.  It's for a different model, but may help:

1. Boot to OS and press “Windows key+ X” and then “M”. (to open Device Manager)
2. Expand “Network Adapter” item and double click on Dell Wireless 1830 ac -> Properties Window will pop-up
3. Go to “Advanced”
4. Scroll down to select “Bluetooth Collaboration” and set it to “Disable”.
5. Press OK to finish.

Thanks Robert. I've updated the mouse drivers but I can't perform the steps you mentioned as I don't have

Dell Wireless 1830 ac listed in my network adaptors
