Setting a Director Status
Hi,
I have tried to run a symconfigure command (listed below) and get the following error message about Director Status:
# symconfigure -sid 113 -f 1.113.SPC2_ENABLE prepare
Execute a symconfigure operation for symmetrix '000290300113' (y/ ) ? y
A Configuration Change operation is in progress. Please wait...
Establishing a configuration change session...............Established.
Error occurred while Defining change number 1:
The operation cannot be completed; the port status is online
Terminating the configuration change session..............Done.
The configuration change session has failed.
There is nothing connected to this FA at the moment so I have no problem setting it offline.
PROBLEM: What is the command to set a Director offline?
Regards

However when I double checked the Director Status it was still registering as online even though the command had worked to set it to offline. I ran a symcfg disco and still said "online".
It has allowed me to update the SPC2 flag though but just weird it never changed the status. I was testing this on a new development DMX but need to do it in production (against another unused set of FAs) and I am a bit nerved by the fact that there seemed to be no difference.

S. E. is simply showing you the status of both ports (the first is ON, the second is OFF).

WHEN in an "ONLINE" state it says:
[ON,ON,N/A,N/A]
WHEN in an "OFFLINE" state it says:
[ON,OFF,N/A,N/A]
What do these different settings relate to is something like the port number i.e. 0,1,2.3?
