symmetrix dmx3 activity log

Hi All

I have a question about DMX3 activity log.

I check log with ECC for a particular period and for this period I don't have any log, for 24 hours, is this a normal situation ?

The ECC server is up and no problem are reported by windows or ECC. All agents are Ok and running.

If you are looking for ECC WLA data you will find that in "Interval" folder and at the end of the data will be moved to daily folder.

If you are looking for SYMCLI data you can look at /var/symapi/log file.

are you looking for logs in ECC, same logs that can be viewed via symaudit command ?

I check log activity in control center, I select the "DMX" after I select "log" in menu bar of control center, I have a windows with the "symmetrix activity log".

When a select a log for a period between 02/20/2010 03:00 PM and 02/21/2010 03:00 PM, there is not events for his period.

The symaudit report all events for that period but ECC symmetrix log activity doesn't. I think I have a problem with storevntd or something related to ECC.

that log in ECC is the same thing you get from symaudit command. Run:

symaudit -sid 123 list -start_date 02/20/2010 -v

if you don't see the info you for that time range, it will not be in ECC either.
