Performance Stats on Storage Pools?

Within Celerra Monitor there are lots of stats you can get on Front End, Back End,  Data Movers, but I do not see anything listed for the storage pools themselves.  What methods can be used to get those stats?

In Celerra Manager, you can view some stats of storage pool by walking through "Storage --> System --> Pool", there is "Usage Statistics" tab where you can find some information about the pool you selected.

Hi,

I agree with Rich . To see detailed information about storage pool usage, select Celerras > [Celerra_name] > Storage Pools and click the Usage Statistics tab.

you can get more information about "Usage Statistics tab" by launching help in the celerra manager .

Thanks

how about answers for the actual question?

He was looking for performance info - not capacity utilization.

I am not surprised that there aren't per-pool performance stats since a pool isn't a storage object for the I/O layer - it's merely a list of volumes for AVM to choose from

If you need the performance stats for a Celerra pool then you need to add up the numbers for all dvol's that are in that pool.

Well, I would have thought there would be something, since basically it is a Clariion back end and a pool is nothing more than a bunch of RAID groups.  Thanks Rainer for that insight.  I'll gather that informaiton and see if I can find some performance stats that our managment is looking for.  I've marked your response as helpful at the moment.  If I can find what I"m looking for, I'll post what we did and mark it answered.

Thx.

you mean Celerra AVM pools, right?

the Clariion doesn't see Celerra pools - it knows about disks, raidgroups and LUNs

what model is your celerra ? You know what LUNs have been presented to Celerra so you could look at Navi analyzer stats ?
