How to schedule Snapshot script for daily tasks
Dear Team,
We have around 110 windows 2003/2008 Servers configured with SAN boot in CX4_480 Storage.
Currently I am using clone option which is consuming space equivalent to OS Luns. If incase , OS Lun is corrupted , the same has been replicated to Clone Lun as well and it leads to loss of productivity.
Can you First Let us know the recommended method for OS Lun ->Clone or Snapshot
If snapshot is fine
I need help to configure snapshot script for below requirement, so that I am able to get last known good point in time Lun copy.
1) 1) Snapshot of C drive for all servers has to get created every day 6 PM using script
2) 2) Snapshots which are older than 2 Days has to be automatically get deleted using script without effecting production server

take a look at SnapView cli guide
https://powerlink.emc.com/nsepn/webapps/btg548664833igtcuup4826/km/live1/en_US/Offering_Technical/Technical_Documentation/069001181_a17.pdf
all the commands are there, you just need to write a script that will execute those command and some logic based on your requirements.
