MV/A How to know when the replication is 100%?
Hello everybody,
I have 2 VNX5300 that are replicating between them with mirrorview through the iscsi ports.
I am replicating 10 LUNs every 4 hours. They start in differents time. In the secundary storage I need to make a script to create a snapshots from this replicated LUNs.
My questions is: How can I be sure that the replicated LUNs are 100% syncronized to be able to create this snapshots with a consistent data?.
What will happen if I create the snapshots when the replicated LUNs are consistent but do not syncronized?
Is there any Mirrorview flag that I could use to compare when I want to start the snapshots?
I hope that you understand my questions.
Thank you very much.

You can use EMC Replication Manager . It can take snap/clone of M/V secondary by managing the consistency and ensures the secondary is 100% synced

If the LUNs can start sync at the same time, you shall be able to use consistency group to do the sync in MV/A. Then, after the CG is in consistent state, you shall be able to take (SnapView) snapshots on all the LUNs in a consistent session.
However, if you must sync the LUNs in different time, I do not know if it is possible to make sure the LUNs are "consistent"
