How to tell cache sizes on DMX

Hello,

I was asked to compare the SAN disk cache settings for two production sql clusters running on the dmx. My understanding is that cache setting is set at the director level, not at the lun level. Is this correct and what command can I use to display the cache settings for the directors?

Thank you!

There are no cache settings at a director level.

A symcfg -v command will show you the total cache in the system, and the system WP maximum as well as the device WP maximum.  There is no maximum limit for a device for read data, a single device could use all available cache for read data.

Quincy56 answered your question, but please: don’t use the word “SAN” when in fact you don’t mean SAN, but you are addressing the storage array. SAN is the network !

No problem, I just quoted the question asked of me from DELL support.
