EMCIE and EMCSA Symmetrix Solutions query
Hi,
I am in the process of the studying for the EMCIE and EMCSA Symmetrix Solutions exams (E20_335 and E20_517). I noticed in the exam briefs for both exams that there is a section on Symmetrix Performance Analyzer. I have atttended the SYM Config Course and the SYM Business Continuity courses so recevied the Course Study Material and related e-learning courses for the training package. There is no section/reference to this product that I can see. Maybe I have missed a beat here and not noticed it burried somewhere? This is a sub-product of ECC i think. Is this on the exam or is the exam briefs out of date or incorrect. If it is on these exams can someone please identify a good study source as I am not familiar with it.
Your help would be much appreciated.

Victor,
If you look at the exam descriptions for 335 and 517 you will see that there are a few elearning courses besides the two Sym config and BC courses. So you should consume those elearning courses as well.
SPA is covered in the SPA Fundamentals elearning.

Hi,
I can see SPA is now bundled with SMC. When I did the course 7.2 was out and SMC &SPA were different products. I know SMC is on the exam, it was covered in the course and used that extensively but if somone could clarify whether SPA is on the exam or not. As per my previous update I can not see references to it in my course materials so is it a case of getting the product documentation!??

Hi I am afraid I cannot help you with why you were not given the SPA Fundamentals in your package.
I suggest you contact your EMC rep.

Hi,
I did not get that e-learning course with my training package. I got the two ILT courses, the 4 ISM (which i used for EMCISA), the foundation ones for Solutions Enabler, Opern Replicator, SRDF, Symmetrix, SMC, timefinder, Connectrix but no SPA! Was that mistakenly missing??
If I cannot get a copy without purchasing (company already purchased the Sym Solutions pack so can't push it) what would be the next best stody material available?

Thanks for the advise. I have contacted EMEA_Education@emc.com to check it out.
I will have to go the product guide failing getting hold of the SPA e-learning module....

Hi Vanchi,
I just noticed I didn't close this one off and assign you with correct answer. SPA e-learning guide which EMC Education provided me with covered it off perfectly.
I passed and SPA did come up so glad I covered it off
