Open replicator and windows 2003 clusters

Hello,

Has anyone migrated multinode, > 5 windows clusters using open replicator hot push method?? If so, what are the steps for the cluster? I read a few documents that refer to a hot push method. I am familiar with OR but not in this case. Do all the nodes have to be powered down before the copy starts and all the cluster resources have been moved to one node?

Thanks in advance!

The cluster will have to be down since there needs to be a time where no I/O is going to the source disks for the cutover.  This is true with Open Replicator or Open Migrator.  We'll be doing this in a few weeks and I had the same question.

the nodes which have the migrating resources need to be shut down before you can create the OR session.

The Best bet is to create a full differential Hot push OR copy and then you can take a limited down time to put all clusters down at the same time and perform the final incremental push to copy the changed data.. Once done present new disks to your cluster and bring them up..
