how to backup an networker client with time difference to backup server

Hello,

we like backup an networker client which have another time/date set as the backup server.

How can we do this?

If we try to backup the client we get

39077:save: error, Automatically cancelling save request: save is unable to start active session in 518477 seconds

5777:save: Cannot open save session with nsrhostg

:  Failed with error(s)

I try to start an new full backup of the client but did not work too.

Any suggestions?

Apwol,

There would appear to be 6 days time difference between your client and NetWorker server – you mention there is another date/time but is this correct? The larger the gap between the NetWorker server and the client the more issues we can see with Group initiated backups.

You could try initiating backup from the client itself if this large difference is correct but I think you should be able to get the time difference down unless you have something very specific?

I am pretty sure that this is possible, in general. However, the number of seconds indicates a huge difference (about 6 days). It should never be so huge.

Well, there is another application with different needs too   I'm sorry, but I can't figure out what kind of application requires you to have actual date shifted to be 6 days before actual one.  That's just non sense.  (reminds of early days where I would change dates to past so that software would continue to run)  NW will support different timezines of course and you can set timezone offset in backup server properties, but you must also understand that on this planet there is no offeset of 6 days.

The date Wed Feb 20 is set because of an request by the application management.

They want/need to test some things with the application with an old date.

That´s not my idea to change this to this date (o;

Don't think so.  Actually, I just checked and it is RO field.  I have to correct myself and say that probably doesn't make sense neither since it would affect pretty much everything else.  So your only solution si to get time on that client right. If application mgmt wants to play games, they should clone machine or you test one.
