Implmenting SRDF between the esx server.

Hi all ,

I am new to vmware. I have specific doubt , can we implement srdf/s or srdf/a between the two esx servers as we do if for all standalone and cluster servers like windows, linux and etc. If we can,  does it really matters anything hard to discover the vms on the other side of the replication. please suggest

thanks ,

I don't quite understand what you're trying to do.

SRDF is data replication between two sites where the primary site has the writable data and the other site has the replicated data as readonly available. You cannot start vms on the secondary site. Only when you do a failover the secondary site will have the data available to use, but then the data on the former primary site will be the replica. You cannot run vms on both sites at the same time, unless you use special hardware like VPLEX that will enable you to write data on both sites, to the same lun.
