Can these two DD communicate among each other (assuming you use DD Boost)?

Also, you should move this question to NetWorker or Data Domain forum - this area here is general ECN help.

Hi

Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility.  Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and questions can go unanswered for a long time.

You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right.  Then search for and select: "Data Domain Support Forum" which would be the most relevant for this question.

Your question has been moved into a product community where it has a better chance of being seen by the correct audience.

Hi,

I was facing the same problem and in the end the problem was with DNS resolution. DDs weren't able to translate their own hostnames. Creating proper DNS records solved my problem.

Hi Rudolf,

Yes, you are right. problem with DNS resolution. I was also facing the same issue and resolved by adding host entries in DD.

Login to DD Web console >> Hardware >> Settings >> Host Mappings.

Add your all  DD and Backup server host entries here.

I had the same issue and adding all of the DataDomains to their Host Mappings resolved the issue.  I had to add the DataDomain itself to it's own Host Mappings as well.

Hi

I have the same error. The DNS lookup works on the DDs so doesnt seem to be an issue there.

Source

bk01 = A.120

dd01 = A.46

dd01-replication = A.36

dd01-ifg1 = B.20

Static route sends traffic to dd02-replication out of dd01-replication

Target

dd02 = X.46

dd02-replication = X.36

dd02-ifg1 = Y.20

All Veeam backup work locally to source and DD replication works out of replication network to target

However i am now trying to configure Networker Clones and get the 5009 error

nsrclone: Failed to obtain filecopy status for ssid=601887854, cloned 0 bytes out of 875764080: Retrieving the status of a file copy operation failed [5009]

Any input appreciated
