Documentum Installation Automation using Chef
What if you could reduce the time spent performing manual installation of multiple components across multiple environments?
In this Knowledge Sharing video, Sushant Sonker, Gonzalo Hernandez Casaseca, and Jason Sanghi discuss automating Documentum installation using Chef framework. The authors provide insight to how the Documentum Content Server(D7), Webpublisher, D2, Integrated Delivery Services (IDS) Target, xPlore, etc. can be installed using Chef recipes.
Benefits of using Chef for Documentum deployment include:
• Rapid Documentum product deployment – from hours to minutes
• Ability to manage all configured parameters from a centralized location
• Ease of deployment with accurate repeatable deployments
• Sets the stage for DevOps culture to enable futuristic scalable deployment

We would love to assist but that group was purchased by OpenText in January 2017 and the team was part of the transition. We no longer have contact details for the author. You can read more about the ECD transition to OpenText here.
