VNX2 Free Block Reclamation
During a review of our VNX2 performance issues with EMC it was mentioned that we need to do a free block reclamation. First I heard of this but I guess when you delete thin luns blocks are left out there. In our case the blocks were in the extreme performance pool and not allowing tiering from performance. Anyway, has anyone had experience with this and how do you free up the blocks? Not really getting anywhere Googling.

LUNs were deleted but pool utilization did not change ? That's an issue for support. If they were saying you are using thin LUNs and after deleting VMs in your datastore you need to run vmkfstools to reclaim storage on the backend ..that i would understand.
