Hi crariel009,

It may help to have a few more details. Do you have a screenshot of what you are seeing? What browser are you using? What kind of vCenter are you installing the manager server under? What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting?

If you have a support contract, you could look into opening a service request for assistance.

Hello sjones5, how are you?

I am using 3 differente browser (IE, Firefox and Chrome). I clean cache history on all browsers. In all browser i have this error:

Untitled.jpg

The vCenter is 5.5 update 2 on windows plattform. In terms of troubleshooting i clean browser history, uninstall isilonSD Management Server, reinstall again, export ssl certificate of SD Management Server and add it to trusted root authorities on all browser. But always have the same result.

The IsilonSD Edge is on differente vlan, so i test move this VM to vcenter vlan, but we got the same result. Do you have some document about isilon communication ports with vCenter?

Thanks beforehand for your help.

Regards

If you have not specified the correct FQDN or IP address of the vCenter server in the System Name [FQDN or IP address] field in the Network Settings page on the VMware vCenter Server Appliance Deployment screen, you will not be able to proceed further even if you have accepted the SSL certificate. Reason being that vCenter encodes the system name (PNID) in the SSL certificate of the system so that the components can communicate with one another using this name. You cannot change the vCenter system name (PNID) after the vCenter instance is deployed. Refer to https://kb.vmware.com/kb/2130599 for specific details. To overcome this issue, re-deploy vCenter with the correct FQDN or IP address. Alternatively, perform these steps:

  1. Connect to the serial console of the management server through an SSH client.
  2. Run nslookup
  3. If the nslookup command fails, modify the /etc/hosts file to add the

entry that maps the vCenter system name(PNID) to the vCenter IP address.
