Does the UNITY supports Enterprise Vault File System Archiving (FSA)
Hi All,
I would like to know if the UNITY supports the Enterprise Vault File System Archiving (FSA). I found some documentation about Celerra/VNX but nothing for the UNITY.
Regards,

Do you mean the Veritas HSM product ?
Are you talking about archiving *from* the Unity leaving a stub there or using Unity as the archive media ?

Hi Rainer,
I am talking about using Unity as the archive media. Right now we are using a Celerra as archive media but it is EOL and want to use UNITY for the Veritas Vault File System Archiving.
Thanks

then my understanding is that we are acting as any other CIFS or NFS server
nothing special for us to support
Except if you were using WORM (FLR) on the Celerra (which I doubt) - that isnt avaible on Unity yet
you need to ask the application vendor (Veritas) what he supports

Hi, please answer the opposite as a solution. Does the Unity support EV when it is used a file server?
We currently use windows file servers and EV stores data on ECS.
If we move to Unity will EV continue to work?

Please see the Veritas compatibility matrix and talk to your EV support
we provide the API's for archiving - whether or not a 3rd party software uses them and supports a particular config is up to the 3rd party software company
