VNX5300 clear dirty cache
Hello
After incorrect shutdown procedure EMC VNX5300 one of my LUN has dirty cache flag and of course it's offline. I connected to service port of SP and I've access to flarecons program. I entered engineer mode and tried command: cld 4 to clear dirty cache flag, but unfourtunatly there is error message:
fcli> cld 4 The FLU is already in the ASSIGNED state
How and where can I remove assigned state to clear dirty cache flag? Should I? And if I unassign it will I lose all data after reassign? I can't contact support because I don't have support anymore. This is more like test array without important data but I would to know how to fix this problem.
Greetings

hello guys,
please I want to know all commands, I can run in CS for VNX5300 to clear Dirty Cache on offline LUNs
I did this and this is the result.
[root@vnx5300-cs0 sbin]# ./navicli -h spa luncache 18 -clear
Bringing the LUN online (clearing the cache dirty condition) will cause all writes destined for the LUN to
be lost.
Do you want to clear the LUN cache dirty condition now? (y/n)? y
Error: luncache command failed
This version of Core Software does not support luncache -clear or luncache -list
on Poo
l LUNs
thanks

Hello Mina3Omda,
What is your current OE on your VNX system? Which VNX system do you have?

Hello Mina3Omda,
Are you running the clear from the SP that owns the lun? Here is a link to the command reference guide for VNX block systems and if you look on page 116 it list the steps. https://dell.to/3ubOAM6

Thanks for the link. The document didn't address how to correct the issue though.
The data on the VNX5300 that we have doesn't have usable data, so we could re-initialize the array.
is that possible?

Hello BHB.DAA,
You can reinitialize the array if you know the steps and that would resolve your issue.
