Wifi not working on Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (7537)

Does your wifi connect in Internet Explorer? What Operating System do you have installed?

Bluetooth is integrated into the WLAN card and there is no physical switch to enable/ disable wireless. Using the separate wireless key in keyboard customer can turn on/ off Bluetooth and WLAN. You can press FN+F2 to see if that will enable/disable the wifi.

Oh internet explorer did not work either.

I'm running windows 10 and I was able to get wifi working after scanning for spyware but it was down for 5-6 hours before that.  I also had the problem when logging on the systems my keyboard would not work until I rebooted.  These problems are very frustrating but it's good to know it still works at some level.

My Dell Inspiron 7537 WIFI adapter stopped working after Windows 10 cumulative update. My solution: Device manager > Human Interface Devices -> Airplane Mode Switch Collection -> Disable device.

Dell Inspiron 17 Series 7000 after Win10 updates, rendered WiFi inoperable. Airplane mode would not return to OFF state, WiFi mode would not return to ON state. The "fix" listed in this thread did NOT work.

Only rolling back to 4-5 previous Win10 states restored WiFi service - but as soon as a new Win10 update came. BAM! Back to inoperability. 

Purchased external USB WiFi, disabled internal WiFi hardware. Same thing. No functionality. (New WiFi hardware lights up briefly, but the WiFi ON/OFF software switch...after about 2 seconds...returns to OFF...on its own! As if by some unseen hand. 

It seems Microsoft & Dell need to get there $#!t together..."non-supported" hardware or not. Makes me want to buy an Apple Macbook Pro...This laptop is in tiptop shape  - thank goodness I rarely need it with or without WiFi, but when I need it - I REALLY need it. This is VERY frustrating.

I am having a similar problem. I think it is tied to the WLAN card as my Bluetooth connected mouse would not connect at the same time. I booted into BIOS and did the networking test. Rebooted and Windows could use WiFi and BT mouse again. Later, the WiFi wouldn't connect. Rebooting and running the network test does not help now.

REALLY not in the mood to replace the whole laptop simply because of the WLAN card. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Here are a few things that you might investigate to try to get your Inspiron back on the Internet:

1. Go to your Command line and type the command "ver" to get your Windows Version. My Inspiron 17 7773 has version 10.0.17134.590 because my supervisor and ace programmer decides when we update Windows 10. There are other ways to get the Version number, but I cannot advise you regarding versions such as 'Creator'.

2. Consider the following hardware devices to connect an Ethernet cable to your wireless hub or modem:

2a. J5Create JC374- This is a USB C device which gives a 1 G Ethernet port, HDMI for a second monitor, and two USB 2.0 ports. I found that it will run a 4TB backup drive on the USB port, but that seems to fail the funnel test. So your mileage may vary, and realize this device can get warm. If you were to move the Seagate 4TB drive to the native laptop USB 2.0 port- no funnel test diagnostic warning. I use that one for an external mouse.

2b. ( Shakespeare seems to be everywhere, huh? ) For a time I before the above item, I connected the same way using a Trendnet TU2-ET100 10/100Mbps adapter. This one would be cheaper yet, without the extra HDMI and USB ports. The other device freed my USB 2.0 laptop port for a Logitech M5 mouse.

Now I realize that you should not need to do what I describe above, it is *just a suggestion*. The only other details that you might consider: I have just one port on the back of the Motorola SURFboard Extreme SB6121 modem, connected to a Belkin N1500 Wireless Router which gives extra Ethernet ports and WiFi. The Wireless Router does allow me to run a different laptop simultaneously without cabling ( or with if I prefer ). There is also an HP Officejet Pro 6968 that can connect without USB or other network cabling. My Internet service here was pretty good until a month ago, when e-mail started 'timing out'- and occasionally needs a reload to finish. Your area might also have slower service- so you could ask a neighbor- or not.

*Yes, I am not saying that anyone has to do any of the above. I have no financial interests in any of the manufacturer's equipment ( other than my own ownership of some few bits of hardware ). As a technician, I sometimes recommend that new hardware ( if at reasonable cost ) be added to make comparison easier. Do not be fooled- if the software or firmware on your PC is the issue- new hardware may NOT HELP. Then again...

I FIND A WAY for solve this cronic prolem!!! %100 working!!!

I tried everything and find this way 

1- shutdown your laptop 

2- turn it back side (using on soft surface)

3- open your laptop's back cover (have only 4 screws)

4- take it off "screw" wifi card too. (1 short mini screw)

5- and change it's screw (wifi card's screw) with a new "MORE LONG" screw (no use with colored screw, have to pure standart metal screw)

because it's original screw can't make a contact with under metal part
