Razaaque,

Make sure the computer is shutting down and not going to sleep mode. Also, disable Fast Startup by following the steps below.

To disable Fast Startup, go to Start > Control Panel > Power Options and click "Choose what the power buttons do" from the column on the left. Scroll down to "Shutdown settings" and uncheck the box for "Turn on fast startup". Click the "Save changes" button to apply the changes

* How long have you had this laptop?
* Click my name and private message me the PC service tag number
* At the end of this day, check the battery %. What is it?
* Turn the laptop off (Click Start- Power- Shut down)
* Disconnect the AC power adapter from the laptop and the wall outlet
* Wait 2 minutes
* Reconnect the AC power adapter
* Check the battery % on first boot tomorrow. What is it?

Have you tried to hard shut down the battery by holding down the power button & then check the battery % the next day?

Do you have any external device connected, phones, hard drives or docking station?

Please try flashing the BIOS again & then try the hard shutdown method & observe the computer.

What is the status of battery health in BIOS?

For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Sreejith R) & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.

Is it 3 amber & 4 white? Does the system boot if you restart the computer? Do you hear any beep codes on startup?

Please run a hardware diagnostic by following this link http://bit.ly/2fJuGXB

Disconnect any external devices, if connected. Unplug the AC adapter. Try removing the battery by following the manual on this link (page 49)  followed by the coin cell battery (page 41)

Press & hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Connect the coin cell battery & the AC adapter & try to power on the system without the system battery & check if the light blinks in the same pattern.
