XPS One 2720, SSD recommendation
Hello, What is the most compatible brand and size for a SSD hard drive? I would like to upgrade to an SSD hard drive and was surprised Crucial did not have compatible SSD's for an XPS 2720. That is usually the brand I go to for memory and hard drives so now I am at a loss for what to buy.

3.5 drive will need to be replaced with 2.5 ssd in an adapter.

The 2720 can take an mSATA drive to replace the 32 GB drive, if you wanted to go that way. You would need to be careful when you reinstalled the OS.
As far as I know, the only thing keeping an SSD from working in the 2720 might be size and connection considerations. You might check the service manual to see if a thinner SSD would work.

If this machine currently uses a 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch spinning-platter HDD,
any conventional 2.5 inch SATA-3/600 SSD should work in its place.
( including a proper Crucial ).
