XPS 15-9560, won't turn on
Hello,
My XPS 15 laptop won't turn on. When I press the powder button, nothing happens (no fan spinning, monitor is off). There is not flashing lights anywhere on the laptop. The laptop is 2 years old. The laptop wasn't being used for 5 months previously but it was working fine before that.
Here are the steps I tried following this thread:
https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-15-Laptop-won-t-turn-on/td-p/5713338
1) Remove the bottom panel and disconnect the battery.
2) Hold down the power button for 20 second (excess power drain)
3) With battery disconnected, plug in AC adapter. Still no charging lights visible.
4) Reconnect the battery. Still no charging lights visible.
5) While holding down the power button, with the AC adapter and battery still connected, disconnect the battery terminal.
6) If nothing happens, repeat steps 3 to 5.
This didn't solve my issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the cmos battery. See your manual for instructions. It is a coin cell battery available anywhere for less than $2 that keeps the bios in memory when the computer is turned off and unplugged. Since your computer was not used for months, that is probably why it won't boot.

According to your Dell XPS 15 (9570) Setup and Specifications / page 15:
Coin cell model number ML 1220

Yes ML1220 but there are many different ones that come up in the search results on eBay. I am new to all of this and don’t know which one to get.
I found this one - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-XPS-9550-Precision-5510-ML1220-CMOS-BIOS-Battery-2-Wire-Tested-Warranty/372648279166?epid=532310811&hash=item56c3917c7e:g:7~4AAOSwYFlcq64V
But it is second hand and I want a new one.
