Welcome to the Dell Community  @NotSoCool

First try updating:

Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework:

https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=D4G6R&oscode=WT64A&productcode=inspiron-15-7572-laptop

If that does not help then try disconnecting the "Main" battery and then playing the game on AC only.

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/us/en/04/inspiron-15-7572-laptop/inspiron-15-7572-servicemanual/procedure?guid=guid-194a1a52-5980-4fd4-b70a-27bbb52441dd&lang=en-us

Best regards,

U2

Updating the driver does not help and my laptop has an internal battery so it can not be removed easily.

@NotSoCool

It requires loosening  three captive screws and removing eight screws.

Dell Inspiron 15-7572 (P61F001) Bottom Base Removal and Installation:

https://www.parts-people.com/blog/2018/08/17/dell-inspiron-15-7572-p61f001-bottom-base-removal-and-installation/

Your system comes with a 3-cell “SMART” lithium-ion battery.

It communicates with the system using the "SMbus" to charge and discharge the battery.

If your battery is even at 90% it will constantly be requesting the CPU to charge the battery.

Which will slow the system down.

When the AC is not plugged in it does not send those same requests to the CPU.

That's why I asked for you to just "Disconnect" the battery and try running on the AC.

You do not need to replace all the screws until after testing.

Make sure In the Power Options under Select a power plan, choose High Performance.

Regards,

U2

Sounds like it’s throttling performance when plugged in, which happens when you connect a power adapter that either has less wattage than the system is designed for, or a power adapter whose wattage can’t be determined. In the former case, the system reduces its performance to try to operate within the lower power budget. In the latter case, the system tries to play it safe by drawing as little power as possible from the unknown adapter, but adapters can become unknown due to hardware issues. Go into the BIOS, go to the Battery Information section, and check the indicated wattage of the AC adapter. If it says Unknown, then you either need a new AC adapter, a new motherboard (unlikely), or a new AC adapter jack if that’s a separate part within your system.

No it shows 65 Watt which is the rating on my charger and i think that the problem is with bios.

Hi NotSoCool,

Thanks for posting and for sending your service tag information.  Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.

Your post doesn't indicate if you've been able to perform a systems diagnostics yet.  Please run Dell SupportAssist or press F12 at startup, make a note of any error messages found and post back.

Here is information from the Dell knowledge base you may find helpful:  How to Troubleshoot Slow Performance Issues

Let us know if that resolves your issue.  Thanks.

There we no error is the hardware diagnostics I have seen this error in the other threads on Inspiron 7572 too. I think it is a problem of thermal throttling dell engineering team should fix this issue with a bios update.

Very disappointed with dell as no solution or bios update and the same problem is there in many Inspiron 7572 systems.

NotSoCool,

Did you update the system to the latest bios here

Also, check and change the power plan in Power Options.  Please type Settings onto [Cortana] search box,  click System, Power & Sleep, Additional Power Settings and select Create A Power Plan.
