Hi, Are there any fix for this issue? I have followed everything stated in this thread but I am still unable to login.

I'm glad I found this thread - been getting the run around from support for the last week..

The only work around that worked for me is to create a brand new account with an email address that was not previously registered with Dell.  Now, I just have to figure out how to link the new account to our organization.

I will be sure to post back if a resolution is found.

Exact same issue here. No access to our account a month already. Still no any solution?

Same issue stuck on the "Configuring your account ..." screen.  Has been like this for months.  Luckily a co-worker has access but this is ridiculous.  Shows the same 500 error everyone else shows.

UPDATE: It is definitely NOT my browser or browser settings.  There is something associated with my specific account settings AT DellEMC!  I asked my co-worker to log in to the support site ON MY WORKSTATION w/ DEFAULT BROWSER using his own credentials and it works like a champ!

Here's the resolution:

Accounts appear to be "lite" users but need to be upgraded to "full".

From an internal investigation: "External users have to be Full Users and they also need to be affiliated to a company in order for the SSO verification to allow them into Dell’s resources, that is how this affects SSO."

To this end, to convert “lite” users to “full users” if you’re impacted by the previously observed SSO condition.

  1. Email support @  emc.com to request change from “lite” to “full” user.  Non-Dell staff are welcome to contact this email alias.

(email slightly obfuscated to reduce spam).

  1. Provide physical address/company email associated with your email.
  2. Support@EMC should be able to locate the siteID of your company name/address
  3. Support@EMC will then map the siteID to your account or create one if needed.
  4. Upgrade of your userID should follow.

This has been tested and confirmed to work.

Emily B, reset your Dell account password. Then proceed to instructions below.

All others proceed to instructions below.

Clear browser cache, cookies and saved passwords
1. Open the browser
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete
3. If using the Chrome browser, go to Advanced tab, check all the check boxes. If using Internet Explorer browser, apart from Preserve Favorite website data check box, check all the check boxes
4. Hit the delete/clear button

For users who do not have Dell Account but need access to Dell applications, create a DELL account by registering at dell.com and then try to access https://education.emc.com
