Inspiron 3650, i7-6700 CPU, 16GB ram, Windows 10 Pro?
I feel my Windows 7 Pro computer will upgrade correctly to Windows 10 Pro since an upgrade Windows 10 disk was included with my purchase. However, while I was out of town, my helpful son threw out the CD with Windows 10 on it. Does Dell offer an online link to the contents of what was contained on the included CD? Of course, my service contract has expired. I have only used about 40% of Drive C so plenty of drive space.
My question is, if I overwrite the current Windows 7 Pro, will Windows 10 Pro recognize the installed hardware and use the drivers I currently have installed with Windows 7 Pro? I have a lot of programs, etc. that I'd really rather not have to reinstall following a clean install so hoping this might be the way to go. I've never attempted to upgrade over an existing OS so uneasy about the process.

I've upgraded a couple hundred machines and haven't run into any real issues. You should be able to download the upgrade at MS and it should be a fairly easy upgrade, maintaining and updating drivers as required. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
I like to do a full maintenance and cleanup on Win7 prior to the upgrade and disable any A/V and anti-malware programs.

You can download the Windows 10 media creation tool directly from Microsoft for free and since Windows 7 support goes bye-bye next month they are really trying to push people to upgrade so at the time of me replying to your post they are still letting you upgrade for free just download the media creation tool it will download Windows 10 and the tool downloads both home and Pro when it starts up just select the "Upgrade this PC" option and if it asks to go online to get the latest information do so. As for your software and drivers, if you're running the Dell support assistant it'll take care of the hardware that was included with your computer as for your 3rd party software you'll need to consult the people that made it to see if there are any updates. I would check all your 3rd party software for updates BEFORE you do the upgrade. Most of the major software venders have been Windows 10 compatible for years since it came out in 2015 but if you have an exotic specialty software that you use for your business like QBASE for music, etc then you might run into issues.

The 3650 shipped with Windows 8.1 not Windows 10.
So there was not any "Windows 10 disk"
OEM System builder disk will install Windows 10 just fine without needing to buy a key for 10.
