Dell G3 Bluetooth Issues

So I use a Bluetooth keyboard and headphones with my laptop. Just today (in fact, an hour ago) the Bluetooth signal abruptly cut out. When I went to check the connection, the actual Bluetooth icon disappeared from my Action Center as well as from my Device settings. The Windows Troubleshooter states that Bluetooth is not compatible, even though I've been using Bluetooth ever since I've had the G3.

After removing and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver from Dell, the issue still persists. Can anyone help?

I've just experienced the same thing today! I use a bluetooth keyboard and about 1 hour ago the signal got cut off, bluetooth disappeared from my action center and device manager. It's so weird!! I've sent a service request to Dell so hopefully they can get it resolved.

May I know if anyone faced the same issue and got it resolved??

Also I have the same situation on Ubuntu 16.04

Same as above - I've lost bluetooth completely. It's like it just decided to turn itself off and walk away.

Exactly the same thing happened, and sadly it seems that no one from Dell could fix this problem.

So the first time this happened to my Dell G3 back in September 20th, 2019, I tried restarting my laptop several times then it somehow fixed itself.

I faced the same issue as [Joe Mali] the second time. Bluetooth keyboard got disconnected suddenly and the actual Bluetooth icon disappeared from my Action Center as well as from my Device settings.

But this time, I downloaded the latest bluetooth driver (in my case it's the Qualcomm QCA61x4A/QCA9377 WiFi and Bluetooth Driver) from Dell Support's Drivers & Downloads (https://www.dell.com/support/home/my/en/mybsd1/Products/?app=drivers).

Then I ran downloaded driver > Clicked Install > Then chose Repair when this window pops up:

Choose RepairChoose Repair

After the "Installation" was completed, it prompt me to restart my laptop and I did. After restarting, the Bluetooth icon reappeared in my Action Center as well as in the Device settings. I had to register my bluetooth keyboard again though because my laptop couldn't detect the keyboard but that was resolved easily by Removing and Adding the keyboard in the bluetooth device settings.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Having the same issues. Just bought mine so I might turn it back with the warranty.

Reinstalling the drivers or going into the Bios didn't change anything.

I tried to replace my Intel AC 9462 to new Intel AC9560 and new Intel AX200, but it didn't help. The problem still persists. So, I think the problem is not with the WiFi/Bluetooth adapter.

@Urehsim
After long operations with drivers, the problem was solved. Thanks.

June 21, 2020.  This is still a problem.  The only thing that works for me is to totally power off the laptop, unplug the power cord for a few seconds, and then start it back up.  Happens frequently.
