Intel Management Engine Components install fails

I'm trying to install the latest Intel Management Engine components on my XPS15.

Downloaded the latest installer from the Dell site

(Chipset_Driver_DJT82_WN32_1932.12.0.1298_A04.EXE)

However when running the installer it always fails with the following error:

The installation source for this product is not available. Verify the source exists and that you can access it.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Try downloading it from dell update app. Also, update the BIOS to the latest and restart the system while the AC adapter is connected to the laptop. In my case, the BIOS and the Intel Management Engine installed when the laptop was restarted when it was connected to the AC adapter for charging.

SupportAssistant flagged 2 updates:

- Intel Management Engine Components

- BIOS

The latest BIOS update was installed just fine. But the Intel update failed.

I tried downloading the package directly from the Dell site, but it doesn't install either.

Now when I look at the Installed programs, the Intel Management Engine Components are no longer listed.

(althought the install directoty is still there).

In the IntelME_MSI.log the following is mentioned:

Tried again today, but same result.

So it seems it has a problem installing "ME_App_x64.msi".

The link is returning a "404 not found". Are there any other links for the troubleshooter?
