How to monitor hardware, applications and warranty time?
Hi,
I want to use a tool to control the health and warranty time of our servers.
I have physical servers with vmware, hyperv core, one windows and one with linux and as they are old servers we don't have iDrac.
We installed Dell Open Manager a long time ago but it was very bad, the access works only via the web and IE needed to use so we aborted.
We are looking to resume because we are Dell partners.
I was reading about Dell Open Manager Essentials which has been discontinued and is now Dell Open Manager Enterprise, but do I understand that it is a paid version?
What options do I have for our legacy and not iDrac scenario?
Thanks.

Yes, you are right. The software you are looking for is Open Manage Enterprise. It's not a paid version for standard use. Only some features require licensing such: automated deployment, custom firmware baselines and automated deployment and enhanced modular servers management. The rest is free.
There are many improvements on OM Enterprise from previous OM Essentials. For example, now you deploy it as a VM appliance. And it contains several new functionalities.
Open Manage Enterprise may require some configurations to start taking advantage of it. So don't be afraid to put some time and effort it. You can see more info and download page here.

- Enable WS-Man in HTTPS mode for discovering Windows or Hyper-V servershttps://www.dell.com/support/manuals/us/en/04/dell-openmanage-enterprise-v3.0/ome_3.0_ug/enable-ws-man-in-https-mode-for-discovering- windows-or-hyper-v-servers? guid = guid-beb70e6b-085a-4f12-9589-7b21b4afc779 & lang = en-us

Hello,
You would be able to monitor vSphere ESXi but with limit monitoring options. I'm not able to find any information on what are limitation; but here's the supported hypervisors matrix on page 10.

Hi,
page 11 says it supports Windows Hyper.
Microsoft Hyper-V supported on:
• Windows Server 2012 R2
• Windows Server 2016
• Windows Server 2019
Thanks.
