Firmware 1.19.2 problem with XPS15 9560
Dear Community,
after BIOS firmware update (from 1.18 to 1.19.2) I have several issues with computer performances: fans are always on, the cores temperature is constantly around 60 (even in idle), the read/write speed with the SSD is reduced by a factor 2 with respect to before. I tried to downgrade going back to 1.18, but at the next reboot the 1.19.2 is automatically installed again. How I can permanently go back to 1.18 avoiding the automatic upgrade to 1.19.2? Since I saw several complaints about problems with 1.19.2, do you know if some patch or new version for the BIOS fw is foreseen?
thanks,
g.

I'm also having this issue. After bios update to 1.19.2 I got these issues:
- Bit locker shows Provider Load Failure
- Windows won't reboot, it just shuts down
I can't downgrade bios due to reboot issue. I've reinstalled Windows 10 Pro, no success so far. Please help

I'm able to downgrade BIOS using F12 / Boot flash tool and a USB Key containing .EXE file, but it fail during the process because of IME.
I'm able to then reboot correctly the computer, but he flashes back BIOS to 1.19 and the problems cames back.
Can Dell provides a solution for all person blocked by your update applied by SupportAssist ? The reboot problems prevent many upgrade to be apply, like the use of WSL2..
This is not correct for the price invested in this laptop. Moreover when the update have been done by your technicien after motherboard replacement, at the end of the warrantly.
Please provide a way to Dowgrade BIOS without touching IME, or solve these problems you created !
PS : Reply in this forum is really painful, this website is full of bug, this is a real shame

One of our employees did the recommended Windows 10 and Dell BIOS updates through Dell Support Assist (BIOS currently at 1.19.2) and immediately after the update reboot the laptop states "No bootable devices found." Dell phone "support" wouldn't help without paying for out of warranty support despite this being immediately after their updates were installed.
