Seasonic is 24 pin. Dell proprietary psu is 6 pin.

and 2VD0G 360W is compatible with Dell optiplex 3050, 7050, Inspiron 3668
If yes, then 8940 psu is compatible with optiplex 3050?

@DELL-Chris M has verified that XPS 8940, Optiplex 7080, G5 5090 psu are interchangeable.
CoMeap 24 to 6 pin adapter compatible with Optiplex 7080. Therefore this adapter can be used for XPS 8940 and G5 5090.

thank you. Is it possible for Dell engineer to test or confirm that the above 500W optiplex 7080MT psu can be used to power up optiplex 7050MT?
users are interested in adapter but wary of testing on new motherboard. If Dell engineer were able to confirm 7080 psu safety on 7050/5050/3050, then it would prove adapter for latter model is safe for 7080, which extends to 8940/5090.

No. Y7R0X was only tested/validated for the XPS 8940, Optiplex 7080.
The Optiplex 7050 never shipped with a 500W PSU, so using one is out of scope for Dell.

Can you tell me if the 99tph is aa active PFC power supply? I have an xps 8940 and trying to figure out if I need a pure sine wave ups or not.
