WK717 & WM527 keyboard and mouse: Bluetooth does not re-pair

Once the keyboard has been connected to the bluetooth position, I cannot seem to reset it and re-connect to the same laptop or to another. 

I has lost the position for good.

Bluetooth Pairing button doesn't seem to do anything.

This is very frustrating. There doesn't seem to be a way to simply factory reset the keyboard either. Others seem to have the same issues expressed here:
