i5 to i7 upgrade possible?
I have a Dell 0WR7PY motherboard.
Can I upgrade it from the current i5(3570) to any kind of i7?
Also, will need to upgrade the power supply too if it is possible?
Thanks

Well not any kind of i7. i7 3770 would be the maximum. But this forum post has much more information. And I assume, since you did not post a model number, you have an Optiplex 7010 SFF?

JOcean is correct that 0WR7PY is mobo for 7010sff.
upgrade from i5-3570 to i7-3770 does not require psu upgrade. The two have same 77w TDP. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-Core-i7-3770-vs-Intel-Core-i5-3570/896vs827
if you upgrade to i7-3770k, same answer, still 77w. and you can’t overclock a 3770k in 7010.

I've already upgraded to 32GB RAM. Im considering putting a strong Graphics Card and a better procesosr. Want to know what's the best option I have.

A strong gpu may need a powerful psu upgrade which the 7010 mt case can easily accommodate.

Better to buy newer model with TPM 1.2 aka Precision T1700 and 4th gen CPU with the optional 365w power supply. Thats what I'm posting on now. Upgraded to WIN11 using the MOSETUP method. Invested in RTX 4000 video card to become fully VR Ready. Works with windows 11 and games and Adobe, and Autocad and Maya etc.
