Dell XPS 9310 Ubuntu 22.04 Fingerprint Not working
Hi,
I did a fresh install of ubuntu 22.04 and I can not get the fingerprint sensor to work... I had installed the ppa found at http://dell.archive.canonical.com/updates/dists/jammy/ but is still not working...
Anybody could give me a hand?
Thanks

Hi,
You need to install the fprintd package: sudo apt install fprintd
Did it for me.
Good luck

I'm having the same issue, on my 9310. I was able to get it to work with Zorin os didn't take note of the kernel version though.
Currently running PopOs
Kernel version 5.17.5-76051705-generic.
fprintd version 1.94.2-1
libfprint-2tod1-goodix vershion 0.0.6
Jared@pop-os:~$ fprintd-enroll
Using device /net/reactivated/Fprint/Device/0
Enrolling right-index-finger finger.
Enroll result: enroll-unknown-error

Try on Ubuntu:
If the package won't install correctly, type:
After that, you may see at (Settings ⇒ Users) a Fingerprint Login option:
. Enable it
. Add new finger setup
Enjoy!
It worked for me

Doesn't work. It keeps deleting the fingerprints.
