xp, applying computer settings

whenever i reboot i get this message "applying computer settings" and this stays there for about 2 or 3 minutes. i do not know if it had to do with the sp2 update or what can someone tell me what to take a look at . I have seen a lot of things about dns but i am settup dynamically and i can get to the internet and everything fine.
