Go to SolutionPermanently stop Alienware Command Center from installing?
I have an alienware aw32 and I am getting really tired of Alienware Command Center installing on my PC automatically.
I've tried not having the USB cable plugged in which doesn't help
I've tried taking ownership and deleting the awcc folder within C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ which works for a time until there's a new version of control center released which then gets pushed out and windows installs it automatically
I've also tried disabling the option to download manufacturers hardware apps from within advanced system settings
In Win 11 is there any way to stop this from automatically installing? It's like a virus at this point, continually installing when it is completely unwanted.

@TheFonze You're almost there. You still need to remove everything for Dell, Alienware, and especially AWCC from the registry, and then disable driver updates via windows update in your GPO. Cleaning up the registry takes the longest but it is required. Also, if the change isn't made to your GPO, Windows will reinstall AWCC the next time there is a major update and you will have to start the process (including your steps), all over again.
After doing this you should be golden. It's bee nearly two years since AWCC has reinstalled itself since I've gone through this process.

Ok I know exactly how to solve this finally. WinHance can disable the setting in Windows that is causing AWCC to be installed. Bottom of the pic, turn that switch off and no more AWCC. Link to WinHance: https://winhance.net/

@redxps630 I just logged in to like this. Command Center may be useful for automated clockspeeds depending on your games but It's still terribly configured and it's always causing problems you don't know where it came from. At the end I ended up deleting all those installers.

@randomnut It's a problem with Microsoft that keeps pushing Windows update that should not be pushed, like AWCC.
The only way I know about disabling it is to stop all AWCC and DELL related services in the service applet, and then after a reboot you will be able to delete the AWCC files manually.
If you uninstall AWCC it will just keep coming back, together with other Dell services. Making Windows think it's still installed by disabling the services rather than removing them, causes Microsoft to stop pushing them on you.

You can use a group policy to block it from reinstalling using the hardware ID of the Alienware software component device. See here for more information: How To Disable Specific Driver Updates In Windows 11/10

I am having this same issue...
non-dell system. I have a Alienware RGB keyboard and I only to change the color of my keyboard keys once..
then I uninstalled it afterwards.. my horror to find it keeps reinstalling it self every time there is a hard ware change or driver update.... or such...
I want this bloatware gone forever. its not ok DELL that you do this...
ie it just reinstalled itself less then a half hour ago...
I did uninstall it.. but like a zombie it keeps coming back.

I also ran an uninstaller before installing AWCC but after looking at the log file I don't think it did anything.
