centOS will be 64 bit..... As is redHat that is used by Avamar....
From what I read in the pdf's.... mccli is a rpm package that can be installed on either
the utility node or any redhat system......
And since centOS is binary compatible...
I was wondering if this can be done...

OK, I see, but SSH to the utill node is better choicer for me ...
I will give a try to install it to a CentOS 5.5 during day ... and will let you know ....

Yes, this two distribution are enterprise classes and they are let's say 99% same thing ...

What exactly you mean with "mccli" on CentOS ? A 64bit client or what ???
