AX4-5F Dual SP replication?

I have two AX4-5F systems and I'd like to replicate from my primary SAN to my secondary. I'm at a new job, so finding info on what we're licensed for has been a challenge.. We are using Navisphere Express, and I'm trying to figure out what options I have to replicate (or copy) my data on a regular basis for rudimentary DR. Does anyone know what comes STANDARD with the purchase of the AX4-5F? I don't think any optional components were purchased, so I'm trying to figure out what tools are available to me.

Any suggestions, links to tutorials for using SAN Copy with Express, etc. would be GREATLY appreciated!

So, is it possible to use SAN Copy with Navisphere Express right out of the box? I need to build a "today" solution with what we have, and then plan later for MirrorView or whatever the "right" solution is.

Assuming I can indeed use SC with Express, are there any Navisphere Express docs on exactly how to set up the SAN Copy? I've been all over and couldn't find much...

    Thanks for the help!

Hello there are different option you can use with AX4-5 for replicating data , in the latest flare version we support :

    - Sancopy
    - Mirrorview Syncronus
    - Mirrorview Asyncronus

Sancopy is a datamobility solution and can be luch by scripting at regular time base

You can use SAN Copy for the following tasks:
    - One-time data migration
    - Routine copying of data for application testing
    - Content distribution

Mirrorview is the solution for DR , MirrorView/Synchronous (MirrorView/S) software can maintain a synchronous online copy of local data at a remote site. MirrorView/S supports distances of up to 200 kilometers (approximately 120 miles) with optical link extenders.

MirrorView¿/Asynchronous (MirrorView/A) software maintains an asynchronous online copy of local data at a remote site. The remote copy is updated at user-defined intervals and, with use of FC-IP bridge devices, the remote site can be an unlimited distance from the local site.

For be able to use this feature you need to upgrade the clariion to the latest code and buy the enablers for the solution you want to use .

In the base version of AX4 (which uses Navisphere Express), passive SAN Copy is bundled with the base version of the software. In this mode, AX4 can be a passive target for a CX array running full SAN Copy.

Navisphere Manager upgrade to the AX4-5 allows support for additional layered applications including full SAN Copy, MirrorView/S and MirrorView/A (Fibre Channel only).

Steps for creating a SAN Copy session have been discussed earlier in this forum. Check http://forums.emc.com/forums/thread.jspa?forumID=88&threadID=88247.

Very helpful, thanks! I guess I'll have to find a way to get approved to upgrade to Navisphere Manager and explore the costs of Mirrorview and/or the full SAN Copy...
