I think the sticky widget in your sentence is "free".  The NAR file really doesn't have data that's useful without Navi Analyzer, which has a license fee.  Navi Analyzer can export charts and graphs, but there doesn't seem to be anyone with a free app.  Some of the for-fee apps, such as SolarWind's Storage Profiler or Northern's Storage Suite can collect the same data, trend it, graph it and make it pretty.  Unfortunately, the only free way I can think of to do this is to use NaviSecCli and export the data you want as .CSV, then dump that data into Excel, RRDTool or another application to graph the data.

You can enable statistics logging and set the NAR archive interval to generate a daily file with the previous day's data.  Then, you can run NaviSecCli to retrieve the NAR file and dump the statistics.  A shell script or batch file can move the data for graphing.

As much as everyone would like a free way to do this, I think enterprises that want this data find a way to pay for/license the tools.  At worse, maybe you can hire a college student/intern to write all the batch stuff?

Now run the above gether.bat and check the result in the directory.

It's nothing fancy, but I whipped this up over a few days.   It's a PowerShell script that will dump the NAR file to CSV and then give you 3 views of the data with PivotCharts in excel.

Excel doesn't do a great job on charts with over 255 members in a series, but if you're environment isn't TOO big and you're not trying to run a big merged NAR through it, you should be just fine.

Requires you have NaviSecCLI installed and at least Excel 2007.
