Difference between Switch version and Fabric OS version

hi,

Could any one please explain the difference between Switch version and Fabric OS version?

looks like version gives you a little more info:

switch:admin#> firmwareshow
Appl Primary/Secondary Versions
------------------------------------------
FOS v6.1.0c
v6.1.0c

switch:admin> version
Kernel: 2.6.14.2
Fabric OS: v6.1.0c
Made on: Fri Jun 13 16:26:18 2008
Flash: Sun Apr 19 03:02:12 2009
BootProm: 4.6.6

is it referenced in documentation as two different things ? Typically when people talk about switch version and fabric version ..they are talking about the same thing.

hi,

yeah, the doc says that, FIRMWARESHOW to see the Fabric OS version
and VERSION to see the switch version.

so what do you say about this?
