System Administrator is no longer employed ...

We own a VRTX blade server rack with three servers and associated HDDs and switches, etc.  The guy who was the system administrator has left the company.  Is there a way to find out what we have, what account info we need, account passwords, etc.

We are in total recovery mode.

The service tags will tell you what the hardware is -- or the purchase orders.

As for any software configuration, software passwords, etc.,  that's only going to be available to your former system administrator (and anyone else to whom he provided that information).

We have a Dell PowerEdge VRTX system with three M630 Blade servers.  We are running VMware ESXi 6.0.0 on it.

I need the procedure for setting up a new admin or super user account.

There's only one superuser account - you don't (and can't) set up a "new" one.

You will need the login information to the existing root account in order to proceed.
