QCT tower = Optiplex 7030 tower
QCS SFF = Optiplex 7030 SFF
QCM Micro = Optiplex 7030 MFF
All Q desktop are new Dell business class PC
Q chipset
ECT tower = Inspiron 3040 tower
ECT and QCT use same metal chassis w different bezel and motherboard.
ECS Slim desktop= Inspiron 3040 small desktop
ECS and QCS use same metal chassis.
(Inspiron is Economy line for general consumer)
Z chipset
ACT tower = Aurora R17
AAT tower = Area 51 R8 (internally called R8)
A for Alienware gaming PC line

FCT2250, the F line, "may the Force be with Dell"
Dell pro max T2 is successor of XPS extreme perfomance line, can be considered as XPS 8970 with new chassis larger than 8960.

What is quick way to tell QBT from QCT?
QBT is high end 4 dimm slot, it can be regarded as “Optiplex 9030”
QCT is entry level or mainstream 2 dimm slot, it can be regarded as “Optiplex 3030 or 7030”

Inspiron 3030 and ECT1250 have same chassis dimensions.
ECT = Inspiron 3040
