Maximum LUN IDs - different hosts

Hi All,

I would like to know what the maximum LUN IDs each type of host can handle, e.g:

Windows = 255 (0FF).

I am fairly certain HP-UX is 512 - however HP-UX count LUN IDs completely differently from other hosts.

But I really want to know about Solaris - I have a feeling it is the same as Windows and can only handle up to 255 or 0FF but would like to know for certain???

I have a Solaris server presented to two FA's and the first available address is 0FD on both and I have 5 LUNs to present. If my thoughts on the max LUN address are true it will mean I will need to use LUN offsetting which is relatively easy but would prefer not to have to do that if at all possible. Using different FA's is not really an option for me.
