Dell G3 hinge issue
I have a Dell G3 15 laptop which I bought in October 2020, so still less than 2yr usage and the hinge is broken popping the left side of the screen. I don't know where to get this fixed in Durban South Africa but from other reviews I have read, this is really a design flow and Dell should do something about it. Spend my savings money in the pandemic to try get some side hustling going but now it's broken .

This seems to be a really common problem. My DELL G3 15 3590 hinge broke recently in exactly the same way as a huge number of others. The laptop was 20 months old. The screen had been closed very few times because of working from home and not having to move it. Under UK consumer law products must last a reasonable time and 20 months for an £800 laptop is not a reasonable lifetime. So I am getting seen to by Currys and Dell in the UK, for free ("non-warranty claim").
So don't give up. Go to your retailer first and say that they should repair the laptop or refund you.
