Installing same BIOS version

Hello. I am using an Inspiron 5567 with v1.2.6 BIOS which is the latest. I'm wondering if I install the same BIOS version for some personal reason, will it remove and clean the BIOS partition and cleanly install it?

Yes, you can reflash the same BIOS version you're currently running.  I actually had that fix an issue once on my wife's XPS 13 9350.  I updated the BIOS, and even though I saw the success message at the end, I noticed a while later that putting her system to sleep actually cut all power, i.e. a hard shutdown, which of course meant she lost her work.  Since I didn't notice for a while I didn't immediately think of the BIOS update as a possible cause, but after tinkering around with all sorts of other things, I eventually remembered that update.  I didn't think reflashing the same version would actually do anything since again I had seen a success message, but I figured I may as well try it because resorting to a clean install of her entire system.  So I tried it, and it fixed the problem.
