windows cannot be installed to this disk this computer's hardware
Please am using dell inpsiron 11 3168 and i decided to install new OS(Windows Setup), but i get a notification saying we couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one, windows can't be installed on this drive and windows cannot be installed to this disk. The computer's Hardware may not support to this disk. Ensure that the disk controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu. Please help me solve this problem.
If you have a UEFI system, make sure you boot your Windows Setup media in UEFI mode. The easiest way to achieve that is to make sure Secure Boot is enabled, which will automatically disable Legacy BIOS mode. If you still see that issue, when you get to the point asking you where you want to install Windows, choose to delete any existing partitions on that disk until the entire disk shows as Unallocated Space. In that case, Windows will automatically set up the disk appropriately, or at least it should. (Note: Make sure you do NOT accidentally delete partitions on OTHER disks, which will be listed right underneath. Pay close attention to the disk number that's shown on each item in the list to make sure you don't delete anything on a completely different disk.)
If it still doesn't work, what sort of disk are you trying to install this onto, and can you confirm it's installed internally rather than you trying to install it onto a disk attached via USB or something?
the problem i installed the same windows before i think this problem happened when i removed the hard drive and clean it and pit it back guy is there is something maybe i move it with out notice. so i can't install the windows again as the problem is hardware not software

Ah ok, I've never tried to install Windows onto an eMMC storage device, but here is a thread that discusses that error and suggests a fix.
You may also use the "Get Help Now" option at the bottom right to chat with a Dell technician right away.
